I'm looking into getting some custom molded electronic ear protection for USPSA/target shooting in general and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the process. I am reading in different forums that this is something insurance may cover under "hearing aids" and would love to not have to foot the bill for expensive ear pro if I can avoid it. The brands I'm currently interested are ESP and Soundgear. These two manufacturers have been mentioned in several forums to be covered by insurance because they have the same technology behind them as hearing aids. I'm in the Western New York area if anyone has any personal experience with specific dealers/audiologists your input would be appreciated.
