A business can put any requirements they see fit and send people to the bench until they comply.
They might require all employees to wash their hands after using the bathroom and handling food and it doesnt matter how anyone feels about the odds of anyone getting anyone sick.
Bit charging fees to people for not complying seems quite odd.

Having worked in aviation maintenance and being a pilot, I would walk before flying on Delta. I believe they are the airline that said they would institute "inclusion hiring". I want the most qualified person working on and flying any plane I am flying in. Not someone who got their job because of some other criteria other than their qualifications.

I believe it is $50/paycheck if you're a smoker. They haven't gotten around to obesity or alcoholism yet, however the change they made to get the $100 for a yearly physical* makes me think they are going to try.

*you must get approval from the Company before making your physical appointment, and have to agree to having the BMI sent to the Company.
