Democratic hopes of winning Senate fade as Trump proves less toxic for Republicans
Democrats are now facing a tougher road to capturing the Senate majority as the presidential race tightens and Donald Trump is not proving to be the dramatic drag on down-ballot candidates that Republicans once feared.

Trump’s resilience and faltering Democratic campaigns in battleground states mean the fight for the Senate has settled into a knuckle-to-knuckle brawl likely to result in a chamber that will be closely divided or potentially even tied.

Democrats can still manage to win the four or five seats they need to claim the Senate majority, but the battle has shifted from purple states that Barack Obama twice carried — Ohio and Florida — to Indiana, Missouri and North Carolina, where Obama lost in 2012.

FUDDS vote and maybe Chuckie could catch a bad case of the HRC bug in the next few weeks. NY swinging the senate more pro 2A is a sweet dream I can not shake. There are also key congressional districts in New York that need every FUDD and patriot they can turn out.

THIS is exactly why Trump needs to keep his cool and appear "presidential" when on stage at the first debate. In essence, it will be his presidential debut for many Americans who only just started getting into this election season.

I can recall a few members who were parroting this garbage over on the other forum a month or two ago. Other than Reagan and Obama's first term elections, what happens down ticket is TOTALLY independent of what's happening at the top.

Frustration with the top of the ticket can impact voter turn out and adversely skew elections concerning key 2A candidates for Judges, Sheriff, Congress, etc. I believe we need every FUDD and patriot that can be turned out to support our cause for most office levels. Very good people who do this for a living believe the 2A community is a vital and critical vote in key elections this year. Even anti-2A candidates (the ones I noticed are on the D line) are starting to double talk now, although the informed know better.
