Idk of any of you guys being military or police snipers, but should there be any here, what's your goal with this shot. Obviously the end game is incapacitate the criminal, but when deciding on shot placement do you go for whatever shot is available that will stop him or maximum impact?

The goal is to stop the threat immediately, in this case via a “T” shot (basically between the eyes or just below at the nose).

A shot to that part of the brain causes instant death without the muscle contraction which could lead to the perp pulling the trigger of his own gun in the moment of death. So in so many words, the goal of this shot is a swift fatality.

The goal of the snipers is to get into a position so they can observe and report and when comanded be in position so stop the threat as quickly as possible and that means a shot that is going to disrupt the CNS that most times means instant collapse and most likely following death. Nobody is judged, the goal is to save lives.

I am not a sniper, never have been, never will be. The goal is to shoot him dead. Dead as quickly as possible. Take a head shot, kill the brain instantly, do not allow muscle contractions.
