I stumbled across this article and found it interesting. As men, the only time we really have to dress around our firearms is if we're wearing suits. Women tend to do it a lot more.

Interesting. Proper clothes and holsters are a big part of carrying and I always keep printing in mind when I carry.

For sure. Because we live in a state where guns, and especially carrying them, is taboo, we have to be extra careful. This is one reason why I'd love it if we could open carry. There would be very, very few times where I actually would, but it would be nice to not have to worry about printing or accidentally exposing a pistol.

Yup, I agree. I am pocket carrying today for that very reason, don't want to print and it's going to be 86 degrees.

Agreed. Carrying concealed sucks if you're not thin. Strategically placed weapons vs the dudes who can skinny carry. I slightly envy them.

Yesterday was my sister's engagement party. I didn't want to wear a jacket due to the heat, and ended up choosing a pretty well fitted getup unlike my normal attire. Most of the time I'm wearing T-shirts with my handgun concealed easily at 4 o'clock IWB.

I tried an ankle holster yesterday, but was quickly reminded of how uncomfortable they are, so for the first time in awhile, I took the rare step of going unarmed.

Sometimes it takes longer to pick out a gun than it does to pick out cloths.

What is your build? I aiwb a Glock 19 and I have a gut. 6' 210lbs that I swear my gut is a 100lbs of that

I was taught to dress to your gun not the other way around. I have square bottom dress shirts so I don't need to tuck them in.

We're both built about the same. 5'8" and 200-210ish. I've tried carrying my Shield appendix and found it to be very uncomfortable while sitting, which I do all day.

Do you have a holster for aiwb or is it your regular 1 for 4:00? There is a difference. A regular holster sits lower and it has more squared off corners. A aiwb holster rides higher and has rounded off corners so it doesn't stick into you.
Also if you move the holster to 12:30 it will sit in the groove between your leg and crotch.
The only problem I see with aiwb is that I have to piss a lot. It pushes just in the right spot

Im one of the lucky guys that never...ever is forced to wear a suit. In two years I havent had a single moment that carrying IWB at 330 hasnt worked fine. Usually a tshirt untucked with shorts or jeans, or a button down "cowboy" shirt untucked with jeans.

I wear what I want, shorts, tight T's in the summer, layers in the winter, and have a gun for each mode of dress. Hawaiin shirts, fanny packs and shirts 3x your proper size scream gun.

When I got it, it was demonstrated that it could be comfortably worn aiwb, but I still didn't like it there. I've been slowly losing weight as well, so I'll have to look again. I can't tell if it's regular or not. The first holster I got is definitely not going to work there, it's a hard homemade one a friend made for me. This other one is leather.

I never have an issue concealing my weapon. I am on the skinny side. Most of the time my wife does not even know I have my gun. I guess she did not take it seriously when I said I'll carry it everywhere I can.
