Elbridge Rod & Gun Club - 12 Years Later

Remember when we all got kicked out? Good times. Wonder if things have changed there in the last 12 years. Was our ban for life or just until all the fudds kicked? Anyone a member there now? Has anyone who was banned been able to sign up there again? Curious minds want to know.

After a multi-year hiatus, I'm looking to join a new club. I hear that place in Auburn is pretty awesome! Plan on checking it out, but it made me nostalgic for the good ol' days when we all stood up for what we believed in and paid the iron price for it.

I feel like there's a cool story I missed out on.

The short version is, about 12 years ago, a bunch of fudds at a local range decided that they didn't like scary black rifles and the noise they made during their card games. So they decided to implement a bunch of silly new rules for pretty silly reasons. They held some meetings on the subject and then proceeded to use those meetings as a way to kick out of the club anyone who objected to said new silly rules. So a bunch of us got the boot along with some nastygram letters in the mail stating that we were banned from the property. News media got involved and did what they tend to do.

"In an effort to reduce noise leaving the club grounds, all semi-automatic medium to large caliber rifles are to use the upper range. Only two shooters at a time and no more than 10 rounds in 30 seconds per shooter with a 1 minute pause between shooters/magazine changes. damn i would have loved to show up with my Mosin and drop 10 in 30 seconds with a bolt gun that holds 5 at a time .. LOL ..
