Electronic Health Records Threaten the Second Amendment
[Ed: We welcome a new author today, a pharmacist working undercover in a front-line state in the gun rights war, who prefers to remain anonymous until escape to a free state becomes possible.]

We dodged the bullet. It is now 2018 and we have seen a year of Second Amendment support from the President that would not have been the case if his opponent had won the election.

Still, eternal vigilance is required to safeguard our rights. So, I would like to alert the reader to a sinister threat in the realm of health data that will be with us regardless of who is in charge in politics.

What is this danger?

It is the misuse of health services and health data to infringe on our Second Amendment rights. Below are some examples that serve as a warning. Regrettably, I can offer only a few ideas on how to minimize the risks of information falling into the wrong hands.

Honestly, and I hate that this is a thing, but it’s not possible to be a firearms owner in this state and get any sort of councilor. The unSAFE act breached doctor / patient privacy. It deters people from getting help, since they don’t want to lose their second amendment rights.

A little off topic for a second... My wife had her first appointment with her new doctor this morning.
When she got back home she told me that when she filled out the doctors office paper work. Not only did
they want to know about the guns. They also wanted to know what temperature our hot water tank is set at.

The wife asked the receptionist why they would want to know what the temperature is set at.
The receptionist said that it's because they are concerned about people scalding themselves...... FACEPALM

She was kind of in a bad mood when she got back home.
So I told her to pull my finger..... She should have known better..... LOL

The intake form in my office has nothing to do with guns at all. I don't care what people do in their private lives related to firearms. Those doc's that want to know can go jack off.

I’m worried about this with my son. He has ADHD and takes medication for it. He also has a learning disability that can in some people effect judgement. He seems to have a very mild case of the learning disability and has mostly overcome all of it. I’m proud of him for it, but worries he will not have gun rights and will not be able to become a boarder patrol agents as he wants.

I’d talk to a lawyer sooner than later, and find out what steps you need to take early on to lead to a positive judgement in his favor later on.

He may have to have his day in court, but you’ll be glad you’re preparing years in advance than when the day comes.

Also, unless he really needs it, do not ever take over his financial affairs after he is 18. Avoid that at all costs. That means he was declared not competent to handle his affairs and they will use that to take his rights away.

She asked me what the hell having guns in our house have to do with her health care. And then she went off
about them wanting to know what temperature our hot water tank is set at. And then the traffic in Batavia.
And then the long line at the return desk in the store.

And then after all that, she fell for the ole pull my finger trick... LOL
I thought it would help lighten things up a little bit... Wrong.

I always just don't answer non-medical questions. It's not their business. So that way they think it's a blanket policy against all questions (it is) rather than a specific one (firearms related).
