Neither of those companies are for free speech even though they claim platform status just like the phone companies do, rather than publisher status.

Facebook and Twitter are required as a matter of Federal law to honor their duties to act as a platform, not a publisher.

Phone companies as platforms are not liable under the law if someone makes a call to threaten to blow up the White House or place an order for a bag of crack, agreeing in exchange for that Federal protection against law suits (which a publisher would face) to offer convenient means of mass communication to Americans..

Facebook and Twitter operate like publishers even though they are corporations who agreed to operate like platforms. They violate Federal law on a daily basis with the publishing that they are doing by banning conservative speech they don't like, right along with Google and others in big tech, and it is an affront to the First Amendment, a breach of contract with their users, as well as bad faith under the Federal stipulations they agreed to as a platform for convenient mass communication.

These "American" tech companies are doing even worse in communist shit holes like China and muslim shit holes like Iran and Saudi Arabia, and you think we're supposed to support them?

They are NOT patriotic American companies who fulfill their duties and obligations under Federal law to provide American citizens the power to freely partake in mass communication.

They are lawbreakers who act as publishers when they have incorporated themselves legally as neutral platforms by which Americans can exercise their right to freely communicate.

It didn't go over my head at all, because I understand how these mass communication companies agreed to operate when they legally incorporated under Federal law.

A newspaper can refuse to put your letter to the editor in print because they are a publisher that does not have any obligation to operate under Federal law as a platform for communication. Publishers reserve the right to only support the message they want to present to their target audience.

A phone company must allow you to communicate under Federal law, as long as you are not using your phone to break the law. Phone companies are NOT required to police their means of communication for crimes, but they are required to cooperate with investigations into crimes if authorities are undertaking an investigation and seek phone information with proper warrants and within the bounds of Federal statute. In exchange for vast legal protections against liability, phone platforms agree to not interfere with the mass communication they sell their clients.

It is similar to the way banks are supposed to operate in terms of allowing people to participate in commerce, although banks are obviously regulated differently in many other ways that communication platforms are not or may not be.

Facebook and Twitter and Google (and all things Google like YouTube) are NOT meeting their obligations as neutral platforms or offering mass communication to everyone regardless of view point.

They agreed to a level playing field for their customers under FCC law, but they are not living up to that, and purposely and flagrantly so.

Why are you defending law breakers who strip their customers of the right to participate in mass communication as licensed and agreed upon by Federal law?

I will defend a platform when it is abiding by the terms of Federal law through which they make their millions and billions and when they stop deplatforming and shadow banning people who are attempting to make use of mass communication they are entitled to as long as they are not committing crimes while using those platforms.

Otherwise, they should be prosecuted and sued into bankruptcy.
