Even if it goes nowhere, the timing is absolutely terrible for the Clinton campaign. It is so bad that even the NYtimes is reporting it.

I suspect this is bullshit on the part of Comey. He knows his reputation is toast, but figures he will help Hillary.

Why? Because the Clinton's own him, and made his brother rich.

How will they do it? He will say " in response to the concerns raised by the public, we have gone the extra distance and taken another look,... and there is nothing there America. She, Bill, the Clinton Foundation, and everyone else involved is clean". So, go ahead and vote America, with full confidence that the FBI has done its' job!

Nope, not this time. Nobody helps their candidate by releasing, 11 days out, news that the candidate is again involved in a criminal case. Even if he shortly comes out and says we looked again, nothing here, it just invites the question will he open it yet again in the future? So much smoke here, there has to be fire.

There is no way to lipstick this pig. Moreover, though I would like to see this concluded by the 8th, the fact is Comey screwed us before and nothing may come of this investigation. But, in 11 days he can't close it (unless it's almost done and we didn't know until now). What this is likely to do, assuming Trump doesn't screw this up, is just put pressure again on Clinton for 11 more days, reminding us of her corruption, and not giving anybody the time to forget about it.

I actually think this news is among the most significant of this general campaign. It is extremely, extremely bad for her at this point.

Guys I really hope if you want hillary to lose you don't underestimate how excellent this news is. I don't think you should get your hopes up about this blowing up her campaign, but it is uniquely and amazingly bad news for her. Think of all the historical october surprises, this has to be among the worst. 11 days out the FBI director saying your scandal is again back in front of him and there is another criminal investigation going on involving your antics? So bad.

I see this as proof the washington elites now believe a trump victory is possible. Comey apparently wants to be on the "good side" of the winner. If clinton wins the investigation will find nothing new and quietly close. If trump wins then I expect to see formal charges. Comey is still a reprehensible human being.

The bad news is this means the clinton machine will do anything and everything to win the election. Not that they weren't going to anyways but I suspect there will be a new sense of urgency within the campaign. Schemes they might have avoided will now be embraced. I suspect there will be all kinds of election fraud.

The next few days until the election are only going to get more interesting.

What if.......10 days from now, just before the election, Comey comes out and says, "Well...America...We at the FBI have looked into Secretary Clinton's email issues for a SECOND TIME. And, once again, we find nothing to implicate the Secretary in any untoward activities. The FBI cannot forsee any plausible reason to open this investigation again now, or at any time in the future."

Even if he did that the complete sentence would be more like:

"Well, America, we were given yet more interesting information that prompted us to look into Clinton, and we have found nothing. We can't say for certain there won't be yet more interesting stuff popping up in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned."

Even the most cynical analysis of this news today is I think difficult to really go with. Ultimately, we're looking at two FBI investigations, and Assange keeps drip drip dripping more news every few weeks.

Is there a person of decent moral character left in this country who thinks Hillary is truly on the up and up? Even the people who support her know she is corrupt.

There are exceptions. Go to huffingtonpost right now but even in the comments there some are calling her a liar and this is par for the course.

I think this is what it seems to be: super crap timing for her campaign, just before her coronation.

Comey said it is unknown whether “this material may be significant.”

He gave no timeline for when results of their new investigation might be known.

On the surface this seems like good news, late, but good. Looking past it a bit, the progressives are nothing if not diabolical. The Democratic party is made up of two crime families, the Clinton's and, the Obama's, who also control the DOJ. Something is up for sure, but the real truth behind what motivates this is still a mystery. Could be the real deal, I hope so, but I have learned to trust nothing when it involves either of these corrupt and un-American crime clans.

We have reviewed them, and they were not classified Now America, go back to watching your endless idiot programming on the TV, and vote for Hillary next week..."

I have to agree with this it is bad timing for the skank and it looks like they got something good. I bet folks are getting tired of getting dragged into the mud because of them. If they didn't have something real bad they would not be doing this and all these wiki leaks coming out just add fuel to the fire
