Well bonus came in (well it will on friday) so I decided it' time to start ordering parts for my Fauxland (Roland) special.
Legit Roland Special done by Atei: $2,300 with customer supplied Glock
Now for me I am doing a Fauxland because I will be deviating from the actual build plan. Cost ???
To start I will be working with a Gen 4 G19, which today I will be calling Glock again to talk about being able to send in my frame to be replaced (they do this for $100+tax, need to call and see if there is any way to keep my original serial #)
I will be sending the slide out to Jagerwerks for milling and be using an RM07 (6.5moa) instead of the RM06 (3.25moa) only difference is dot size. And will also use the Ameriglo Suppressor Height Sights.
I think I'll be leaving out the top and front serrations and oem rear mostly because with the RMR I don't see the need for the extra serrations, but may add front ones later for aesthetics or whatever.
As for barrel and compensator this will be one of the last things I do (very last or second to last) and have not decided on what of either. So not a big deal.
I currently have an AGENCY Arms Trigger that I swap between my G17 and G19 with factory (-) connector this will be in place of the Overwatch TAC trigger (but I may explore the TAC later on in the future)
Will be adding both TangoDown Vickers Slide Release & Magazine Release
As for the stippling I have been looking around on who to go with and use, i will also have the finger grooves removed like they should, double undercuts on the trigger guard and what not. (Like the comp and barrel this will be one of the last things ie 2nd to last or last)
I have just now ordered a VTAC/SAI magwel, this will be used instead of Raven Freya Magwell. It is the only one I have seen state that it will work with restricted 10 round mags (but only with factory base plate and not the matching VTAC baseplate). Not only that but it appears to have one of the larger funnels but very minimal on the outside for concealability, and has side cut outs that will be useful if I ever need to strip a stuck mag during malfunctions (one thing that many/most other magwells do not seem to have)
And then finally will be adding a Surefire X300 ultra to top it all off.
Will be updating with pictures and how each little change does over the course of the build.
