Here's a good take on WTF is really coming off with the soviet style assault on history from Pat Buchanan.


"They had found a leader, Robert E. Lee -- and what a leader! ... No military leader since Napoleon has aroused such enthusiastic devotion among troops as did Lee when he reviewed them on his horse Traveller."

So wrote Samuel Eliot Morison in his magisterial "The Oxford History of the American People" in 1965.

First in his class at West Point, hero of the Mexican War, Lee was the man to whom President Lincoln turned to lead his army. But when Virginia seceded, Lee would not lift up his sword against his own people, and chose to defend his home state rather than wage war upon her.

This veneration of Lee, wrote Richard Weaver, "appears in the saying attributed to a Confederate soldier, 'The rest of us may have ... descended from monkeys, but it took a God to make Marse Robert.'"

Growing up after World War II, this was accepted history.

Yet, on the militant left today, the name Lee evokes raw hatred and howls of "racist and traitor." A clamor has arisen to have all statues of him and all Confederate soldiers and statesmen pulled down from their pedestals and put in museums or tossed onto trash piles.

What has changed since 1965?

It is not history. There have been no great new discoveries about Lee.

What has changed is America herself. She is not the same country. We have passed through a great social, cultural and moral revolution that has left us irretrievably divided on separate shores.

Fox News reported that the Freedom of Speech group in Boston has had this rally planned for a long time. Nazi's and the KKK are not invited. However they have already been labeled a "hate" group which give ANTIFA and BLM a green light. After listening to the Mayor talk about zero tolerance, we will see. As I have said before, the coming Civil War will be urban against rural.

Any country coming to the extremes with the left and right is like trying to
kill yourself by punching yourself in the face with both hands at the same time.

Career politicians and so call religious leaders feed the ignorance that at the
same time feeds the hate that feeds the extremism that feeds the violence.

It has been always like this through history. The problem is when we choose to ignore
history and become pawns.

After reading the article, and, eventually, finding information about the Boston Free Speech Coalition, all I can say is I hope there are THOUSANDS of cameras out there.
They are already being labeled by the Left. There is already threats for counter protesters.
With tensions still at very high levels from last week, this is going to be a powder-keg. I hope there are enough cameras to catch who starts the violence.

It would be interesting, in a sad way, to find out who and why.

It really doesn't matter if there are cameras and they record who started it because it will always be our fault. There are plenty of cameras in Charlottesville and it still the rights fault as told by the media

I've seen enough videos of charlottesville to know that anybody who was still there after BOTH SIDES mustered and were assaulting each other with sprays and clubs shouldn't have been surprised to get hurt. More people in boston will be hurt, too, because antifa will show up uninvited and get into more clashes with those organizing it.

You can see how the country has changed by looking at speeches like bill clinton's about illegal immigration. That's what the left used to think of it. Now when that viewpoint is put forth it's xenophobia.

I was involved with the first Rally in Albany.
We worked for months promoting it
Got 10 thousand or so.
They had a week in Boston and they have (if you can believe the media 15 thousand)
But they have the Media on their side we didn't.

Imo...Easy to gather large crowds in such short time when many are being paid to act like fools just to add fuel to the already raging fire.
