I went down to the Club earlier this afternoon to shoot my new to me Ruger 77/22 that I bought at the end of Nov. ( just before my hip replacement ) Had not shot it yet, so this was as it came with the 3-9x40 Nikon prostaff rimfire scope I had added a new extended mag release. I only put 10rds on the target first shoot was a bit off to the right at 50 ft sitting at the bench off my elbows. Federal Auto Match ammo and no adjustments to the scope, as she came.
I plan on setting this up for benchrest target class for this coming season. Swapping the weaver T-24 that has been on my 77/22 with the sporter Shilen ( New rifle also has a .920 Shilen barrel ) barrel. I was thinking about putting this scope on the sporter but then I have a Pentax 3-15x50 that is on a rifle I plan on selling. This scope would still be good for the 50 yard sporter class and still be good for off-hand shooting.
