I hope the author, DA and anyone who approves of this runs afoul of a law elsewhere of which is legal in NY. If the individual lived in PA it would have just been another day.

Looks like he caught the attention of members of the DA's office when he brought some components and had it shipped to his NYC address.

NYC has different rules. They have a ban on ALL assault style rifles and accessories. NYC requires a rifle/shotgun permit to possess any long guns. And all long guns must be registered with NYPD.

Song was screwed from the get. He did not possess a long gun license for NYC and several of his rifles are illegal/banned in NYC.

Most of Song's firearms were illegal/banned in NYC and he didn't have a license (probably because he knew his guns were illegal in NYC.)
