Joel isn't an elegant bullshit artist like Andy. He's had past health problems and just doesn't present well on camera. The media will eat him. He doesn't know how to manipulate the media like Andy.

I mean, that's basically accurate. It's a political hostage situation. And really, who does it benefit? It's a power trip for NYC to want to control a whole state that 'mostly' disagrees with them on policy. This is supposed to be the point of having local laws. The SAFE act should have been local to NYC / the boroughs -- that is, if it weren't obviously unconstitutional in the first place.

Let people run their communities how they see fit.

Disclosure .... I only met the guy a few times more than 10 years ago but here is some info.

While Erie County Executive from 2000 to 2007, he was initially considered a hot Republican commodity for his stand on holding the line on taxes. Eventually his performance soured (after the windfall tobacco money and budget surpluses ran dry) from his failure to cut spending or reduce the size of Government.

While his close ally Pataki was still Gov, Giambra, was subjected to monitoring by a state financial control board because of the county’s fiscal mess under his control.

Giambra is a former Democrat who The Buffalo News “dubbed as a ‘Giambracrat.’”

Since losing his County Executive seat, Giambra works as a lobbyist for Al D’Amato’s cash cow, Park Strategies. (Their website was just updated to hide this fact)

His recent claim to fame to save New York is the advocacy for the full legalization of recreational marijuana and taxation of same.

Giambra is strongly pro abortion,

Giambra is not pro 2A

Giambra was a proud member of “Republicans for Hillary” during Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Giambra has publically supported and donated to multiple campaigns of Andrew Cuomo, Hillary Clinton, Mayor De Blasio, and Eric Schneiderman.

Mike Long, New York Conservative Party Chair recently stated, “it sounds like he favors everything that Andrew Cuomo is for, 'That's not what we're about.'"

Well after reading this thread now I do... Yeah, fuck him.
I am pro 2A and should run for State Governor myself. But there are a couple of problems with that idea.

1 ) Most people don't believe that I actually exist.
2 ) The Bigfoot bank account doesn't have funds.
