The biggest election with global significance is taking place today in France as Marine Le Pen (economic nationalist) challenges current President Emmanuel Macron (economic globalist). The world is watching this one, because if Le Pen can win it would be seismic in political consequence.
Marine Le Pen is a long shot. If she wins it would be massive.

We will not know the early results for a few more hours, around 4pm ET. Some other data below…..

Macron is not the same type of pussy democrat here and won. Yet loat a lot of votes and Parliament support that now moved to Le Pen.

I know the French and their sentiment and it would take a lot for Macron to lose to her. The French are very socialist and like all the “free” they get. They have no clue what they actually pay in taxes. I have worked with many of them in my last position and they get paid so little at the end of the day they “need” the government.

Well they have the cheapest electricity in Europe and little impact because of the ucraine. That is because as they convert to green energy they decided to stick to Nuclear while other "socialists" in other nations didnt see nuclear as a necessary Pivotal component and decided to close all nuclear plant and now they are in huge trouble. Germany is reviewing the policy and reactivating their nuclear plants. In some places like Spain it is not unusual for the average blue collar family being hit with 300 - 400 dollar electric bill every month.

So yes maybe globalist marcon but not as stupid as other "socialists" that propose plans wo having a real plan.

There are many levels of socialism and you rest assure I take a socialist from Texas before I take a republican from Queens.

I’ll say just because he made one good decision doesn’t really mean much. IMO he made this call because the French are very proud of their country and their heritage as they put it so I’m sure he didn’t want to ruin the landscape with windmills and solar panels because the French wouldn’t have this. I’m speculating of course because I do not know for sure, but I could see this explanation being very plausible.

The real reason is because they want independence energy wise and the only realistic way is to pivot in nuclear unless you want to continue to burn coal, oil or gas that means being dependant and dirty.
Everything else is a big global hoax but the french they actually listened to some engineers vs the knee jerking media.
If you do a simple conversion of trillion btus to megawatts x year one will quickly realize that there is no enough production, distribution or infrastructure to convert even 20% of all ICE transportation in the next 30 years.
And nuclear takes time to build right and put into production so anything the US and some Europeans do now is just stupid last minute reaction shit.
So expect our energy and electricity to go up and not to come down any time soon.

Nuclear ia the answer for at least another 100 years until we can actually make some other alternatives work.

Or just return to burn coal.

Numbers do not lie.

The French have been heavily nuclear back as far as the 70s.

Correct. It takes decades to build a strong and safe program and they are not coming back no matter what other Euro partners are saying or doing.
Nuclear is very reliable and clean and it makes total sense while we research and expand other alternatives and this way we dont have to go back to burn coal to keep with the demand or due to other geo political issues.
