FTF in WNY? Who ya using?

So, what if I want to buy a rifle from a friend or forum member in WNY - who are you guys using? I've got a couple I might put up for sale and I am wondering who will do face to face transfers. Ran into a snag this weekend one I was buying and have to jump through hoops to get it done. A guy who normally doesn't do them stepped up to help out. For the record, Wolcott Guns doesn't.
So who does for SURE? How much are they charging?

Ive used him for 3 decades.
He will go out of his way to accommodate. Youwill not find a nicer guy. He does local, nationwide, internet, face to face transfers. Call him anytime, hes always available.

I live in the Rochester area, and would recommend the Firing Pin in Bergen if you get a buyer closer to this area. $10, NICS check for buyer, and your out the door.

I did do a transfer (I was seller) to a guy in the Buffalo area at Blue Tuna Gunsmithing in Tonawanda, his choice. It was also $10, and a very nice bunch of guys there, no hassle. I'd recommend them to anyone in the Buffalo area. Great shop from my 1st visit. (transfers at both shops in the last 2 months)

I do not use an FFL. If I were to buy a gun from a friend or someone I knew, probably do the transfer in a parking lot somewhere. The hell with that FFL bullshit!

Not saying I would break the law, that would be bad. Just suggesting what I might do if it were to come up. So far it has not.

Anyone know if there would be some sort of SAFE loophole if you conducted such a sale on an Indian reservation ? Kinda like untaxed cigarettes ? Does SAFE even apply on reservations ?

Also, if someone did conduct a private sale without an NFL, is it the seller, the buyer, or both who committed the crime ?

Just curious, I don't generally ever sell any of my guns, I just collect them, and a $10 FFL fee is good insurance against more than just a SAFE conviction IMHO.

Make the big box stores do it for $10. Most will. Gander did.

I used to send private transfer people to gander to do pistols. No way am i gonna do a pistol transfer for $10.

Matter of fact I dont do any $10 transfers.......

Thanks to Crit, Fig, and Jem for your help. Ya know, when I lived in Florida it was so easy. AZ is getting a little harder with a couple of requirements but NY is really getting on my nerves. Dealers don't want to do private sales because they can only charge $10 per SAFE, which really doesn't cover cost of doing business ( actual BGC call in time, logging in firearms into log book, required storage of 4473 for a period of 20 years, possible time spent looking up transaction if ATF calls, etc) I get it.
Would I be right about that BG?
