Galco Shoulder System

Awaiting the delivery of a Jackass Shoulder rig from Galco. I also got the tie downs to keep it put.
Anyone have any experience with the Jackass system? It has got to be better than the POS Uncle Mike nylon torture device it is replacing.

I have a Miami Classic for my many P99s, which is the same as the Jackass, except for the cant angle. Very nice.

I almost went with that one. I like the versatility within the design, as it will fit my 5" barreled Government Model and my 3.5" Officer Model in the same holster. If I could find one for my Baby Eagle, I would be set.
I just hope it is comfortable enough for all day use. That nylon one was definitely not your friend after a full day of carrying.

Yeah, it does cant down a bit. It is a pain in the ass to I or OWB carry when driving. At least for me. With winter coming, a shoulder rig can be disguised under the bulkier seasonal clothes. I also look forward to using it for hunting season, getting rid of my old nylon torture device.

I got the package on Friday, set it up Saturday and wore it for several hours. I have to say it is amazingly comfortable. I don't need the tie downs, but I did buy them. I sits right and stays put. Gone is the flopping around of the nylon torture device, which didn't sit right and wasn't able to be adjusted that tight to the body. Also gone, the physical pain caused by the terrible load bearing design of the nylon torture device, a very welcome loss when carrying for multiple hours.
I am going to put this into the "good to go" category, with a "why did I wait so damned long?" footnote.
Galco shoulder systems get my vote.
