6.5 Creedmoor
A while back I made the decision to move away from my EDC carry gun, which at that time was a G23, and switch to 9mm. There were a few reasons for this like weight, cost savings on ammo, and less perceived recoil. At this point I already owned a few 9mm "duty guns" but seeing as I was already carrying a compact frame Glock, the G19 was the most natural choice and it would fit all my holsters. So i picked up this brand spanking new Gen 4 G19
I was already very comfortable with the platform seeing as I put 1000's of rounds through the 23 but i wanted to do more with it.
The first thing I wanted to do is install a flat face style trigger to help improve and maintain more consistent trigger pull. After researching and narrowing it down to just 3 (Apex, Agency, Overwatch) I decided to go with the Overwatch Precision TAC Trigger, their "Minus Connector" and new trigger spring.
The three parts work in unison to provide a good finger index, slightly reduced pull weight, a nice crisp break, and crisp reset.
The index lines on the tape represent the static position, wall, and break of the stock trigger. With the new trigger installed those three markers were relatively close to being the same as the stock trigger with the difference being the feel of the flat faced trigger and the lighter pull weight.
If you have never broken down a glock before its a fairly simple process. With removal of just 3 pins the trigger mechanism is easily removed.
easy piezy.
