Does anyone Here use the Glock magpul magazines ? If so , how do you like them? Pros and cons ? Would you recommend them or stay with the oem mags?
MagLula and a side of Quitcher Bitchen.I have 3 of their 17 mags and they work alright. They are a pain in the ass to load, I'd only ever use them for range use.. and spend the extra what like $4 on OEM mags for carry
I have some, they seem to work just fine. Great alternative to use on the range or in training to save wear and tear on your OEMs.
Like any magazine, the spring is rather stiff until a few load/unload cycles go though. I have no issues loading mine at all.
@Edwardteach72 just needs a MagLula. Everyone needs a MagLula.

I’m asking because I drew my son in laws name for Christmas this year. He carries a Glock 19 mid size. Are the Glock 19 mags all the same size? I have no idea what Gen. it is.
ThanksGen won't matter and his gun will hold both the 19 mag and the 17 mag
While we’re at it should the guide rod be changed out for a stainless rod?
Thanks, besides straight out asking him is there an obvious way to tell by looking at the gun which generation it is?Should . Meh not necessary by any means
This is when knowing what gen it is will help
Totally unnecessary. The only thing the guide rod does is to keep the recoil spring from kinking, it offers no support to the slide. The slide is supported by the guide rails in the frame. While we’re at it should the guide rod be changed out for a stainless rod?
