I posted some interesting videos from more mainline sources to try and get the message out to people who do not take it seriously. ( I could post more obscure videos but then a skeptic is more likely to discount the idea)

I really hope that perhaps a few people may watch these, become curious, do their research and actively prepare for these very real possibilities. If just everyone had preparations our country would fare so much better in a major event. We would have more time to get our collective feet under us. Maybe someday these videos will change your decisions and save your life someday...who knows...

Here is an interview with respected investigative journalist (yes they used to exist) Ted Koppel in regards to a book he made studying the vulnerability of our electrical Grid to attack. While researching his book since he was a respected journalist He had access to interview very high level government officials. Let's just say you should be afraid. highly recommend his book. Its dry (no real story line or characters) but it's highly informative and sobering.

Read the previous post... I am glad we have experts in certain fields that are part of NY Gun Forum, but i always align my self to the thinking that nothing is for sure and that's for sure. EMP's may not effect certain hardened systems. Great news, but unless a military radar installation is going to power my cook stove, water heater or water pump i could care less. To the point that every data center is a faraday cage, great, until someone is propping the door open to have a smoke break, or something else that would compromise the protections. The grid is susceptible somewhere and the grid will be effected by and strategic EMP attack.

However, i believe that "kinetic" attacks on our grid are easier to carry out by our enemies and more dangerous to the masses.

Bottom line what ever causes the grid to go down, its best to be prepared.

Its NOT a political issue. It shouldn't be made into a political fight in Congress where nothing gets done because our douchebag politicians load a "grid protection" measure onto a planned parenthood funding bill that will for sure get voted down or some other similar nonsense, just to allow both parties to continue blaming the other.

Yet, as the Obama administration goes out the door on its very last day, Jan.19, its Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is poised to pass a standard that is grossly inadequate to protect the nation from natural EMP, from solar storms, and that will make it much more difficult and expensive to pass future standards to protect the nation from nuclear EMP attack.

I truly believe that Odumbo's real "job" as sitting POTUS was to further speed the destruction of the Republic, and this is just more evidence of the theory.

I generally liked the interview with Koppel. He has put his money where his mouth is and has bought food in case the grid goes down. That is a real eye opener. Their ideologies are too important to them that survival by many will be assumed feasible even without a proper way to self defend or accumulate necessities. The sense of entitlement and inability to see the importance of reality and what drastic measures are required right now for them is enough grounds to predict their outcome already.

I think you are right in that their way of thinking puts little importance on survivability. Some of them are very much into sustainability and cooperatives, but again, their hypocrisy is always right there with them like a shadow.
A lot of the liberals I've met/know all seem to have immense anger just under the surface. I mean, I guess we all have anger to one degree or another. With some of these people though, it's lethal. Take the rioting for example, even though most of it is funded and organised, it speaks volumes of the degree they will go and the disrespect and distain they have for non-aligned opinions. Would you or I or anyone else on this forum willingly beat people up and destroy our communities out of protest and for money? I wouldn't.

A lot of the liberals I have met want to "kill" members of the NRA every time there is a shooting. They don't want people to have guns, because in understanding without acknowledging how angry they are and what they would do if they had a gun, they then project that onto other people and think anyone who has a gun will turn into a killer and resort to violence for the smallest of disagreements.
I think Bukowski put it best in his poem "The Genius of the Crowd". Here are the first few lines:

Will a lot of them starve and die from being otherwise unprepared, yes. But I also do feel like some have quicker access, psychologically, to a more savage part of human nature.

I agree.

I just think they're likely to be shot and killed sooner than they can cause increased havoc as individuals and groups. People put up with their bullshit now because they want to obey the law and keep order and morals in society and there is no national threat. However, When it's life and death, others trying to feed themselves and families will not hesitate shooting them down provided they present any sort of serious threat or hindrance to their survival needs.
