See, I've been giving this some thought. The problem is clearly the "order by decree" bullshit from the top like this, but also the laissez faire attitude of those who enforce to carry out the orders.

I was wrong in saying we should target the top. We should target those that protect the top. We should target those who allow politicians to simply decree things without research or care to the impact on people.

And to be clear, not with violence: with hard-line economic sanctions which (to my knowledge) are a totally legal avenue. Make it painful so that no one would dare carry out this bullshit otherwise incur the economic wrath and social rejection of the community.

Without anyone to listen, the top will simply become useless and impotent, and the people will once again run the show. And then it won't matter what any politician wants, if no one will be willing to support it. It will be in-name only.

That's how we fight this shit.

I’m not sure how NYS is doing it but in CA you can’t register it in CA of its gas beyond a certain point. NYS seems to be sale related so yes this is a possibility. For me I’ll just buy a bigger truck that burns more gas.
