I don’t even see what legal authority they have to take any of those other items unless they were directly used in a crime. A scope is not illegal to own or purchase u see any circumstance, same with many other items.

Yepper! If they ever come to your or my house they'll stuff all the guns muzzle down in a garbage can and take them and all the ammo and any and everything firearm related such powder primers cases boxes even camo clothing and IF you ever get it back it would all be dumped together, thousands of different bullets and the primers and powder would've been 'destroyed' for safety.

I would still challenge it in court since I have a good amount of money invested in other gun related attire. I mean where does it stop? Would they take rifle bags, range bags, iron sights? How about my gun shirts? I mean seriously. I get the firearm and the serial number, but even AR uppers and components should be returned in my eyes.
