How do you put a value on a rifle? All my rifles are built by myself with mid to high end parts. Is the value the sum of all the parts plus optics put together or is there a set market value like on cars?
What if I got mesothelioma from it?An item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. And remember, nobody is going to pay you for any emotional attachment you may have to something.
yesWhat if I got mesothelioma from it?
Will I still be entitled to financial compensation?
Also it's a used gun. I don't want a used gun unless I can get it at a significantly lower cost than a new one. If it's even within a few hundred dollars, I'm getting the new one.
PS others may know better than me but if you give them to your sister I dont think you have to "transfer" them i.e. no NICS needed (note this does not include handguns).
Hopefully someday down the road here some of us semi-locals can meet up for a shoot at BM.
Q: What family members are exempt from the private sale/transfer provision?
A: Sales or transfers to and between spouses, domestic partners, children and step-children, are exempt from the private sale/transfer provision.

Woah. I was making a joke. Hope you feel better soon. What BD said is true. You can give the guns to your sister.
Thanks for all the advice.
I am still alive and breathing. No guns for anyone!!!!
So far it has not progressed and my throat does not hurt anymore. No shortness of breath or chest pains. Most likely a little head cold like the doctor said. But it sure as hell gave my wife and kids and rest of my family a good scare.
