I am sure it will.. but just like the Dobbs decision with abortion or the right to carry guns in public...liberal tryants will tell SCOTUS to stick it and do what they want.Get ready for this to go to the supreme court of the USA and not go favorably.
Id love to have the chance to read the decision but the constitution says we the people not we the citizen and the dems will green light this. Also the Supreme Court of the USA may not rule our way especially if the dems pack the court.
Non-citizen means people with a Green Card or Work Visa, not illegals.
this is local voting in the state not on the Federal level been that way for years in a lot of states this is nothing new
If you can't see this is the first step towards having them vote in all elections then you are willfully blind. This is not about illegal aliens voting, only legal residents who are not citizens, in local elections. Congress and ONLY Congress decides who can vote in Federal elections.
Calm down people.
From the state that gave us Bernie Sanders.
Why shouldn't a town or village or even small city be able to let non-citizen legal residents vote in local elections? They pay taxes just like citizens do.If you're not outraged over this you're an idiot.
Non citizens should not be voting in American elections.
Period. No verbal gymnastics. Period. None.
No taxation without representation. Just sayin'. I dont believe non-citizens should vote but as they pay the same taxes that we do, an argument can be made.If you can't see this is the first step towards having them vote in all elections then you are willfully blind.
You want the representation? Become a citizen. There is a well established procedure. No taxation without representation. Just sayin'. I dont believe non-citizens should vote but as they pay the same taxes that we do, an argument can be made.
Simple, it’s the first step towards letting them vote in State and Federal elections. Why shouldn't a town or village or even small city be able to let non-citizen legal residents vote in local elections? They pay taxes just like citizens do.

Except the US is not their gov. If they want rep from their government they should go home.
Then why do we tax their income, purchases, real estate, etc?Except the US is not their gov. If they want rep from their government they should go home.

If they cant vote perhaps we shouldn't tax their income or purchases.
