Installed a new gun Magnet Today

Anyone ever use these? Much nicer than being on a shelf for bedside.

Beside HD to get to the shotgun.

13 bucks and 5 minutes.

I did so much home improvement with this installation today I feel like swilliams.

Manufactures spend big bucks to make sure they are magnetic particle free.
The strongest the magnet the easiest it is to magnetize the firearms parts.

For Real? I was going to look at these to put under my desk in my office. Just for when I'm sitting there. Appendix inside the waistband gets a little uncomfortable.

If I didn't have that same concern before, and determine that this has been thoroughly tested and reviewed by many, I might worry. As it is, nope.

You don't want parts to be magnetized.
It makes the firearm susceptible to eventual malfunction by attracting foreign particles.
Unlike dust what you are attracting are small metal shavings and specs that might create a malfunction and even damage the firearm. Most likely will never happen but also if you drop
the firearm one might be bringing more stuff with it.
Again it is rare sometimes has created damage and even interfere in firearms.
Magnets and firearms do not mix. Just like sea water and moisture.

I've heard the gambit. And the overwhelming positive feedback over close to a decade, with no ill effects, I'll take my chances. I'll run it through a demagnetizer if my watch starts clinging to it.
