Years ago Iran talked about attacking ships in the strait of hormuz and of course I said this would never happen, because Tropic Thunder had already come out.

It seems they didn't see it. They were "admonished" by the royal navy a week ago or so, they seized a tanker a couple days ago, now they have seized 1-2 other british tankers.

20% of world's oil supply goes through this area. If they don't cut this out they are going to see their ports taken out IMO.

I have no problem punishing Iran or even making it a glass skating rink, but it needs to be more than 4 British soldiers, 3 Canadian soldiers, and two French soldiers cooking for 10’s of thousands of American soldiers. It needs to be more than an American campaign.

1. It is a GREAT thing that the US is now energy independent, finally after decades of empty promises T$ got it done.
The straight is more important to our allies than to us now.

2. Somebody really wants US in a war with Iran, deep / state foreign ops ?, whoever it is they are pushing for this conflict for nefarious reasons imo.

Let the Brits deal with the attacks on their ships themselves. The better part of the known world was under their control at one point in history...surely they can deal with a few pirates from a backwater dictatorship?

Apparently not.

They should be running air escort and taking these little attack boats out when they get too close. Iran knows though that England is too afraid for an international incident to stop what is nothing other than state sponsored piracy.

That's a shame. Nothing stops a bully, whether on a playground or the world stage, like a forceful response. Like maybe, get within 1 nautical mile of our ship and we will turn your boat into cinders above the waterline.
