Hi Folks,

Well - we've seen a great deal of enthusiasm in the 2A community for Bruen - - - has ANYTHING actually improved for us - the state that filed Bruen?

• We now need NY State Background Checks to purchase ammo.
• Semiautomatic Shotguns must be entered into a NY State Gun Registry.
• Semiautomatic Rifles must be entered into a NY State Gun Registry.
• My county - Sullivan - still requires (4) County Residents to vouch for my "Good Moral Character" before I can exercise my Constitutional Right to possess a handgun - even if it is strictly for home defense.
• The SAFE Act is still in full effect and hasn't been challenged.

Is there any light at the end of the tunnel I may have missed?

Nothing seems better to me.

There are no increased regulations on semi auto shotguns. Rifles and shotguns are not entered into a NYS database or at least so they say. I think all guns will now be with NYS troopers doing background checks.
You need a license and to be 21 to purchase a semi auto rifle.
But to answer your question no things aren’t better in NYS and won’t be for a long time.
