I've waited too long.. (Herkimer county wait time)

I've been waiting for my pistol permit going on 7 months on the 29th. From what I understand it's up to a 8 month wait in herkimer county. Is there a way I can find out what's going on?

7 months is not long compared to other counties. Mine took almost 2 years in Erie.

You have stated it's one of the fastest (can you show me actual evidence? I know chemung is getting in at around 3-4 months sooo there is that and some of the surrounding counties are the same right at about 3 months)

Now you started this thread saying you are on not even at month 7 (of again 8 average) and need help "finding out what is going on"

Here is a suggestion. Wait for the end of month 8. You know the amount of time you stated it takes to get a permit in that county.........

Here is a suggestion. Wait for the end of month 8. You know the amount of time you stated it takes to get a permit in that county.........

My friends have all got theirs in 3-4 months and not that long ago.

Just forget you put in an application. You will drive yourself nuts if you keep thinking about it. It will get processed when it gets processed. Sooner or later you will get a latter in the mail and you will be happily surprised.

I would still call just to inquire nicely. Shit happens. Things get lost. My sister's permit was sent to the wrong address. I wouldn't assume everything is fine. It most likely is, but no harm in asking for an update.
