Judge Hands Down Big Win to Gen. Flynn, Will Allow His Family to Sue CNN​

CNN may have the opportunity to write another check for doing its job poorly, this time to relatives of former Trump national security advisor Michael Flynn for labeling them followers of the QAnon conspiracy theory.

According to U.S. District Judge Gregory Woods’ ruling, the network aired a report this year entitled “CNN Goes Inside A Gathering of QAnon Followers.”

“The report included a brief clip of Lieutenant General Michael Flynn proclaiming, ‘where we go one, we go all.’ Plaintiffs John P. (‘Jack’) and Leslie A. Flynn … are shown in the clip standing next to General Flynn,” wrote Woods, an appointee of former President Barack Obama.


According to the ruling, the Flynns must show that “[t]here has been some publication of a false or fictitious fact which implies an association which does not exist; [and] [t]he association which has been published or implied would be objectionable to the ordinary reasonable man under the circumstances.”

Why? No offense but why would anyone need to invest if they have 100M? I hear this alot. "If I won xyz million I would invest". If you manage to spend 100M before your dead you're a god damned fool. He's what 20 now. He could easily spend 1M a year and still wouldn't be able to spend it all in his lifetime.

If you're upper middle class ($250k+ per year income) $2M is very nice, but not life changing nice. Especially when you figure half of that is going to lawyers, and he'd be dumb not to invest at least 80% of what he gets.

The reason it doesn’t make sense is the inflation rate he uses. 7% is what we had in the 1970s and one year under Biden but it’s not normal. It’s usually around 3%.

I doubt most of us have much more than a million dollars in liquid assets altogether. And those who do, it’s probably in retirement accounts that can’t be touched without significant penalty of some sort.
And those of us who are worth more than million it’s if you include the value of their home or business or license ( like a medical license value in divorce proceedings).
