1.Pick up app at Livingston County Clerks Office. ($10)
2. Fill out application- You will need 4 References (3 from Livingston, 1 From anywhere else)
3. In the packet they give L1's website info. Go online schedule a time to get your prints done. L1 will give you a receipt to hand in with your app. (Cost was $105)
4. Get application notarized
5. Hand In app at the sheriffs office, They will take your picture, and more prints (No charge there)
6. After handing the permit in your references will receive a letter within 1-2 bussiness days. They fill it out (3-4 questions) send it back.
7. After they receive all your references back, and your back ground check is complete (about two weeks) A deputy will call you and want to do a sit down interview at your place. (Mine lasted a minute, My friends over the phone) Also while he is there he will need 3 more references (Name, Address, And phone number) They do not need to be from Livingston county but have to be "Close by". (My deputy called the three references while he was here, My friends were called within five minutes of talking to him)
8. Give it a couple days then start waiting impatiently every day for the mail to come to see if your permit arrives!!!
