I'm not really happy about the featureless stuff - i think i miss the flash hider /muzzle brake most, but i don't want any trouble and don't want to deal with opening the action to drop the mag. Not yet anyway.

Yeah I know . I think they use this same on the 18" barrel version as well and it looks better with the flash hider. Fuac!

Looks like a nice set up Mike. If I were to go that route the only thing I would do different is use one of those butt stocks that go right up to the buffer tube, its a looks only thing but to me it minimizes the weirdness of the Buffer hanging out there like andy's finger.

do you mean the new gen3 thordsen stock? Ive been looking at that, but the bastards drilled out the screw holding the stock on. I need to cut a slot with a dremel so i can remove it.

drill the head completely off and then you can remove and replace the screw easy enough.

if i drill the head off, is there going to be enough screw to grab with a vice grip to get it out?

Try the screw slot first, you can always drill or grind the head off if that doesn't work. Good luck!!!

Just get a scew extractor set. Any hardware store should have them.

took it to the range today. I think i need to work on the sighting in as its still not as accurate as i hoped. I only had some factory 55 grain federal, and i think that might be too light for my 1 in 7" twist. groups were all over the place at 100 yards. But its alot of fun!

I shoot sub 1 inch groups with my 1:7 using 55 grain my reloaded ammo all the time.

Get some hornady 55 grain match ammo. Itll shoot fine.

Over the counter cheap 55 grain ammo is pure shit.

Edit to add you need a good trigger as well.

I think the trigger is decent - but in my limited knowledge maybe not. What trigger would you recommend?

It was definitely cheap ammo - federal, shipped by the place we won't name. 30c a round.

I'm already prepped to reload 223 so I guess I need to get that going to really see how it shoots.

I use the hiperfire 3g. Best imo

Another great trigger is the high speed national match by giessele. Or for single stage their 3g is nice.

I have a timney in my scar only cause i didnt want to throw all the extra coin on a giessele scar trigger.

The neeest timney is real nice , but for what they want for it get the above mentioned triggers.

Oh! I forhot about optic and accuracy. Not sure what reticle that one has but obviously some reticles are netter than others for gettying the smallest possible groups.
