Lowville Rimfire shoot 29 June

Rifle:
Shooting steel gongs at approximately 50 yards
2”-6” gongs
4 positions
Standing, sitting, standing supported, sitting supported

Pistol:
Shooting bowling pins at 7, 10, 15, 20 Yards

I planned on coming up for the 4th of July weekend, actually thinking of taking the whole damn week off.. A 9 day stretch sure sounds good..

Okay I haven't shot any league or tournament shoot in over 20 years ( kids n wives ) , but I'd really like to hit this one.. I have no idea what I need as far as spare mags and such or if a bolt action would be totally ridiculous in a timed match.. but I brought out 3 rifles and my grandfather's old Ruger.. Either way I had a blast blinking and sighting in with a new piece and tweaking a few old ones.
But I'm really going to try to attend this shoot and spend a night or two at camp all by myself ..

Rifle will be shot at 35 yards, standing, sitting, standing supposed and sitting supported. 10 shots for 10 targets at each distance.

Pistol is 7,10,15 and 20 yards 10shots at each distance.

Regretfully i can't make this shoot that I was looking forward to.

My daughter's 5th birthday at the Watertown Zoo is the same day... Don't think there is anyway i can swing both if the shoot starts at 10AM.

Yeah I am not sure how he plans on running it. We talked about pistol then rifle. Then siamotainously, then alternating. So who knows.

This was a fun way to spend a morning. Friendly shoot. I did well even with my rifle scope reticule magically turning into what looks like a swastka... It is funny when you go to shoot ten targets and you miss all ten with a rifle that is usually a tac driver.

Already ordered a replacement.

Nice to see that there were actually three members(including me) from this forum that showed up.

now for the excuses
...I didn't tell, but I too had was tired with the early unset of a major hangover . ( it went drastically downhill after the shoot and mowing later that morning, but I did recoup and do it all over again last night around the fire and lightning storm.
… It's been years shooting a league but for some reason I get nervous shooting around strangers, a dude with a timer / buzzer doesn't help..
.. outdated and sporter equipment.., I will keep my gramps old Mark 11, he won matches with it so I'll keep at it..
but I will spend some $$ do a competition bling build 10/22..
