Saw some Federal Fusion 30-06 165gr@ buds for $1.50 a round. I know you should use 150 grain will 165 grain be ok?
Isn't the commercial stuff less pressure than the NATO Rounds? The stock Garand does not have an adjustable gas system. Below is one you can get to avoid bending the op rod. Commercial ammunition not designed for the Garand could build up too much pressure at the gas port, which is why most people recommend not using it. Schuster M1 Adjustable Gas Plug

Most of the commercial 30-06, especially hunting loads, is hotter than the Garand was designed for.Isn't the commercial stuff less pressure than the NATO Rounds?
You are thinking 308 and 7.62x51 not 30-06Isn't the commercial stuff less pressure than the NATO Rounds?
You are right. I have seen it and it clearly says on the box that it is designed for the Garand. There are some manufacturers that make 30-06 loaded to M2 Ball spec which is safe for Garand and non corrosive.
