Magpul X22 Backpacker Stock for Ruger 10/22

Just installed a Magpul X22 Backpacker stock on my Ruger 10/22 Takedown. Easy install and really looks good. Has a storage compartment in the stock that holds 3 magazines. Also has 2 cheek risers for the stock. Standard and the higher rise as shown in the pictures.Here are some pictures. Now waiting for the new Tech sights, BX trigger assembly and extended mag release.

I have the same setup.. makes for a nice backpack gun and a fun shooter, especially with the usual 10/22 goodies - BX trigger, extended mag release, the auto-bolt release. I have a small red dot on mine which kind of takes away from the sleekness but makes it even easier to shoot.

With the price of ammo lately I've been bringing my .22s to the range more as I let them sit for too long.

Good point! It would be so very easy to forget a spare mag or two in there and just toss it in the trunk and go.

Good looking 10/22.

My 10/22 looks exactly the same except I opted for a Volquartsen trigger and the extended charging handle.

I still have to rattlecan mine and see if I can get thumb screws for my vortex scope mount.

It's really unfortunate that we can't suppress theses in this the Peoples Socialist Republic of NY.

I use one also, it's a great stock and relatively cheap.

I’m not sure why leaving a mag in the stock is a big deal if it’s out of your reach. No difference than a gun case with a mag in the case. The mag and round are not in the action of the gun.
I have the other stock that they make not for the takedown and I love it. It’s adjustable so the riffle fits my kids well.
