I wanted to start out 2022 better than 2021.
After a lengthy search, I found a safe queen Rem 7400 .243 semi auto to add to the stable.
I didn't want to build a neutered AR10 chambered in 243, so this was the next best SAFE act legal semi auto choice for me.
I picked it up this afternoon, mounted an EGW Picatinny rail and cleaned the crap out of it.
The XG50 lines up nicely when mounted.
Made sure the dummy rounds chambered and manually cycled from both magazines.
I'm hoping and dreaming that the 70 grain loads that I load for the Impluse predator will cycle and shoot well in the 7400.
It has a 1-9.125 twist, which is ideal for 70 grain pills.
The trigger isn't so bad, but it's bad enough that I'll send it to a smith in PA to make it a crisp 2.5 lbs with no creep and convert it to a left hand safety, if it shows promise tomorrow.
