Meet The Savages - Sibling Varminters

I have two Savage rifles in my collection. The big brother is a Savage Axis 2 XP 223 Remington, the little sister is the Savage 93 R 17 17HMR. They have the same Boyd's lightweight thumbhole stock and same Nikon Prostaff 5 scope. They also both have the same Savage Accutrigger. I wanted the 93R17 to be a trainer for the 223. Ironically, since the 223 does well with bulk ammo, the 17 is not less expensive to shoot.

Both are sub MOA. But the 223 has about 2.5 times the practical range of the 17.
