I always thought it a curious twist of fate that where ever you find MLK blvd you can find violence. Seems ironic considering the man spent his life preaching love and fighting for human rights

obviously my post was inspired by that bit, but i couldn't remember the comedian who did it. Seriously though his observation is dead on and the irony couldn't be thicker

The only time many in the community care about MLK Day is when others are not celebrating it. Me personally, the only good thing about the Holiday, it is a paid day for me. I get paid if I don't work and 2 1/2 times pay if I do. Besides that, I could care less. It is a real shame that more people in certain communities have no idea the true meaning behind the man.
