Been in our house for a year, and noticed chuck damage when we moved in but didn't get a chance to take care of it then. Of course, this year she's got 2 babies and they're always with her. I don't have the heart to take any of them when they're right near each other. Actually had mom in my sights yesterday but couldn't do it. I'm blaming it on too many damn kids movies.

we had a few this spring and that turned into a dozen little ones real fast. I held off on shooting them simply because they were too damn close and easy of a target... But then the little bastards started digging behind a retaining wall I spent 2g on .. Killing season started but to make it fun I used a 38 special snub nose trying head shots at close range.. missed plenty of times but it was like a shooting game at a fair.. After the close range rats were gone I moved onto using my new savage .22 carbine.. I found that so disappointing with standard ammo till I loaded up with some stingers and the fun was back.. I still have one or two of the adults lurking around I haven't pulled the trigger on. depending on where they pop out it , it may be the 450 bushmaster next time.

I've got 1 fat bastard ninja chuck, I also may take him out with my .450 bushy but it's any close rifle in a storm. This is the first year in 5 I haven't got a dozen or so chucks blasted around here by now

Trap them and move them or shoot them. I get it baby animals are cute, but they are destructive.

Have a push mower that burns a little oil? Put 1/4 - 1/2 tank of gas in it. Remove the muffler and put a piece of pipe in its place. Hose clamp some hose to the pipe and put hose down hole. Put rags around hose to seal to hole. Start up the mower and let it run. Now go about your business. (Before you start mower make sure any other holes are blocked. Problem solved...)

I've shot 2 this year with the 308 soft points. The round needled through them and didn't cause any noticeable damage. I was actually surprised the neither chuck twitched when they were hit.

My 2 coonhounds got one last summer.Not sure which one or if both had a hand in it.Came home one day and both of them were laying about 3 ft from it watching for it to move.Its neck was broken and one eye was hanging out of its socket.

I would like to get all three at once but I'm not sure i could get them since they move pretty fast when spooked. Plus i wanted to use my 22 cal Ruger pellet gun since I'm not 500' from other neighbors. Likely wouldn't be an issue but next door neighbors kids are home alone during the day and didn't want them to get freaked and call the cops. Maybe I'll give them a heads up and get the old Marlin 60 out.

I've got neighbors very close so I use a Benjamin Nitro piston .22 air rifle on all my nuisance critters. Quiet and effective. Got a chuck, a few 'monks and gonna have a truckload of rabbits this fall. Just waiting for my wife to head back to FL. Kinda surprised by all the numbers seeing that we had a momma fox and three kits down on the beach a few weeks ago.
