My Final Thoughts on The Failed Healthcare Reform…
CTH has fought this for years. The best thing we can do now is to try and assist people with information that will help them make forward decisions. It isn’t Paul Ryan’s fault and I’ll explain on that later. First the foundations:

All DC Republicans and all DC Democrats are the DC UniParty. The DC UniParty is fueled by special interest donor lobbying money. The DC UniParty created Obamacare and the DC UniParty wants ObamaCare to remain in place.

For six years we have attempted, and failed, to educate people on the UniParty. There is only one political party in Washington DC, the UniParty.
In 2009 The U.S. Chamber of Commerce (Donohue), the AFL-CIO (Trumka), SEIU (Stern), AFSCME together with Wall Street, Big Pharma and Big Healthcare entered into negotiations with a massive White House team to create ObamaCare. [see the collage above] Everything after that successfully executed ’09/’10 deal was each organization ensuring the construct remained in place.

Period.

Republicans do not want ObamaCare repealed. Whenever you see people talking about a republican ‘this‘, or a republican ‘that‘ wanting to repeal ObamaCare – It’s false.

This reality underwrites the reason why Ryan refused to have an actual vote on the record today. The UniParty scheme can only exist so long as you remain blind to their affiliation and purposes.


Period.

Those who say there are politicians within DC that want to repeal ObamaCare are absolute liars. It is a 100% false assertion. This is a narrative of fakery created by specific and intentional design, being utilized as countermeasures to throw you off the trail. The narrative is intended to keep you from identifying the reality of the DC UniParty and the trillion dollar legislative agenda.

Repeat. The Republican Party does not want to repeal ObamaCare. (Neither does the Democrat party.)

I can say that if you are not able to buy Health insurance across State lines, Health insurance will never come down in price. There is virtually no competition in alot of areas.

Once the government "gave" healthcare to a bunch of people repealing it became difficult. The house previously passed a repeal, I believe, because they knew it would be vetoed; they wanted to claim they were trying but had Obama actually signed it they would have been caught carrying the bag.

I think what happened yesterday cannot be understated: The republicans got soundly humiliated. Is any part of this untrue?

• The republican party as a whole has spent the past seven years aggressively and constantly railing against Obamacare
  
• One of the significant arguments of Trump's campaign was that Obamacare would be repealed
  
• Trump Wins. Republicans own both the senate and the house
• They can't even get enough votes to pass the house (which was a lower bar, I understand than passing the senate)

People have often wondered whether the republicans actually had a good piece of legislation to replace Obamacare and it is clear now they don't. Never did. They have the presidency and the congress and they can't even get anything passed. This is their fault and nobody else's.

The left is going wild over this, memes galore about Trump's "art of the deal" and how pitiful all this was, and they are correct. This was very poorly done. Heck, only at the 11th hour did the vote even get pulled, else it was going to be a complete bloodbath. Trump is learning that when you can't fire people who bother you, insulting them does not engender them to support you. In other words, leading cats is difficult. I would have thought Trump remembered the only way to ever have power in a negotiation is with leverage. He didn't have any, so this fell apart.

Yes, but for many it's the thrill of the hunt. Their actions belie their true desires. In other words, I have been begging my wife to let me get a dog for years. But in the back of my mind if she ever says yes I've forgotten now if I even really want one. Same mentality between this woman we know who goes shopping often, buys stuff, then soon after feels guilt and returns the stuff, unused. She thought she wanted it but then after fighting for it when she's finally won she realizes maybe not after all.

What the republicans should have done this time was get enough votes to only repeal obamacare and say that it terminates at the end of 2018. Done. Gone. Now at this point that the house has been burned down, they can work with the democrats to build a new one, and considering they still own both chambers until the end of 2018, if they don't find and sign a deal by the spring of 2018 they can decide if they want to do it without democratic input. This way obamacare is repealed and yet nobody has to sign onto some garbage version of another bill, and hell if they want to they can just put forward another bill in 2018 that does basically the same thing, but then Trump isn't left with Ryan looking like they have no idea what they are doing.

In the meantime we will see chaos in our medical system. The Republicans from what I could see had been screaming about repealing Obama care for what 7 years and had no plan to replace it. I like rand Paul and a lot of his small government, constitutionally conservative and libertarian leanings. He's one of the few republicans I think consistently puts his ideals and convictions first. He's a consistent voice of reason.

So, what is “The Big Club“?
..What “Deep State” is to intelligence, military intervention and foreign policy – The “BIG CLUB” is to matters of domestic economics…
Politicians do not write laws. Paul Ryan, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer do not sit in their offices writing out scripts of laws and legislation; no politician does. Politicians are the faces who sell legislation that unseen hands create. The Big Club are the hands that create the legislation.

As such, it makes no sense to argue about the salesmanship of Ted Cruz or Elizabeth Warren when neither Cruz nor Warren are creating the legislative constructs they are selling.

Indeed, it makes much more sense to focus the attention on the unseen hands that are never discussed – These are the roots of the issues, the politicians are merely the expendable and interchangeable sales force.
The Big Club are massive and complex networks of lobbying groups who actually write legislation. What follows, depending on their own evaluation of importance therein, are payments to the politicians to go and sell their construct.

The amount of payment varies depending on how valuable the construct is to the interests of the Club. Big legislative constructs that provide the Club large income increases are worth more than smaller ones.

This is the accurate background framework to consider ObamaCare.

Within The BIG CLUB there are, essentially, two larger factions with interest: Big Labor and Wall Street (big crony-business). There are other factions like Big Green (Al Gore) etc. However, for the sake of ObamaCare the two that matter are “Big Labor” (AFL-CIO, SEIU, AFSCME, UFCW etc), and Wall Street (U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Tom Donohue).

The Big Club has paid for ObamaCare’s construct, and they are not going to allow their sales force to walk away from it. From their position, this is a massive ‘multi-multi-hundreds-of-millions’ expenditure that has already taken place.

To Remove ObamaCare We Must First Remove The UniParty “Big Club”…

When it comes right down to it, either Trump is successful in doing a good managerial job that keeps the current government afloat for another few decades - by rectifying the budget, reining in foreign wars, and moving the culture away from entitlements and anti-Americanism to something more pro.... or we will have a collapse under a Democrat Socialist next term.

Frankly I'd rather see martial law and shooting/burning congress and the courts, under a benevolent dictator than another cycle of Democrat rule. Give Trump or someone similar five years to literally purge and drain the swamp, reform the school systems and close the liberal arts colleges... and that would set Democracy straight far better than another election of "the lessor of two evils" from the Republicrats.

Face it, you get Elizabeth Warren and some wacky judges next cycle and we're the ones getting purged. I much rather have my guy doing the purge and I'll be happy to be the suppository of freedom ;-p

Rationing healthcare is an unavoidable necessity in such a world, and the government is the last one I trust to do it.

A free market is the only fair way to do it.

The Pubs didn't get "soundly humiliated", that's your OPINION, and one easily refuted.

I can readily make the case that Friday's failed vote is huge VICTORY for anyone with a real concern for actual change.

Doing for the sake of doing may appeal to you, but there's PLENTY of opportunity in the next 8 years for repeal.

Your expectation of a lockstep vote is testimony to a lack of understanding of how long and deeply split the party stands.

Do you even recall what happened in the 2010 elections?

Ryan tried to pass a bad bill, with the SAME bullshit tactics the Dems did, and you think that was worth pursuing?

No amendments, no debate, just STFU and get in line and vote as you're told. Shocker it didn't work.

Exactly right. And the most important thing to bring costs down IS a free market and that means. NO STATE LINES!!!

It is entirely conceivable that we could see in our lifetimes the technology to create a robotic body with an artificial brain and upload someone into it.
