He has tagged along on hunts growing up but this was the first time he got a license and killed his own geese. I’m proud of him for maxing out his first hunt.
He used a 20ga 870 and I used a CZ 720. Going back out tomorrow.

He was using Kent Faststeel 3” with #2 shot. I shoot BB in 12ga but couldn’t find any in 20ga. He killed them around 20-30 yards in front of the blind.

I wanted to hate it but it’s a great gun. Comes with 2 gas rings, one for light target loads and one for hot hunting loads. It’s Camo and the hydro dip is really nice. I got it really wet today and ran flawless. It’s actually my father in laws gun, he won it at a DU dinner. I was the first to shoot it and had zero issues. He uses an 870 that’s about 30 years old and hunts everyday of waterfowl season every year.

That's great! Memories that will never fade, I remember my son's first's also. Squirrel, rabbit, grouse and then a deer. Was there for all of them and I will never forget the look of absolute joy on his face. He's 33 now and still loves hunting and we still go together.
