This is my first post. I am moving to Nassau County and know I have to wait 1 year to apply for my permit due to finding a personal reference, but I have a question or two regarding the application.
The application asks "Have you ever undergone treatment for alcohol or substance use?"
In May of 2018 I voluntarily went to alcohol treatment. At the time I had recently lost my job and started drinking a lot and needed a little extra help. Anyways, I haven't had a drink since and I was never a threat to myself or anyone during that period. I have no history of mental illness nor have I ever received treatment (voluntary or involuntary) for mental illness.
That all being said, will I be immediately disqualified from getting my permit?
