I live in Vermont, carry regularly and participate in 3-gun. Until recently, I thought of my state as the oasis for upstate New Yorkers. Now my state is well down the path to ruinous gun laws.
Welcome! I have always wondered about VT. Historically it has been a very pro-gun state. I have been vacationing in VT every other year for the past 12 years and the state impressed me as full of left wing granola types. That dichotomy seemed to be something that couldn't last. Looks like the change is to become more pro-granola and less pro-gun. So much for retiring to vermont.
Welcome. Sad to hear about your state's decline. Seems to be the theme of our country these past years. "If I dont like it, you cant have it". Needs to change in this country.
Welcome to the forum. Historically, VT was considered part of NY (foggy memory...), so things come full circle. I understand it's not tax friendly for seniors; I'll say this though, great views of the Adirondacks.
I blame NYC. I had a friend that lived in the Waterbury area and could barely afford to live there, as a teacher, because NYC and NJ residents were buying up the properties and jacking up everything. They then infiltrated Burlington, and it went downhill from there.
