No use for us normies butttt. 15rnd G43x/48 mags

Company is finally taking pre orders for their 15 round flush fit magazins for the Glock 43x/48.

Yes I get for most of us these are irrelevant but there are a few "free folk" here...

Anyways a company has a redesigned magazine to be the same size as the OEM glock 43x/48 magazines but instead if 10 rounds they are now 15 round magazines..

This makes the Glock 48 the same as a Glock 19 but slightly smaller in size in some areas (granted it doesnt have a light rail like the 19)

Yeah it does. And the mags are only about 40 a pop which in all realities isnt bad

Even if they were twice that it would still be worth it. I would pay 80 bucks to upgrade my gun’s capabilities. We all did in the past with prebans.

The only issue with these magazines and I’m guessing they have thinner walls to accomplish this is reliability from being dropped but I never drop my magazines during reload at the range and if broken in real life, who cares? Still worth buying if you don’t abuse them.

This company could really change Glock’s dynamics and make them a real competitor with SIG.

I'd certainly try a 20 round G19 magazine. I wonder if it's that simple though?

Being that they're all metal mags I don't think it would be an issue. I don't fully understand the point of Glocks mainly polymer mags.

So it looks like what they may have done is by removing the polymer they could turn the "single stack" into more of a "1.25 stack" or so that's how they got the 5 extra..

My thinking is if they could do that with the 48 they could maybe turn the standard frame glock into maybe a true double stack magazine and I dont think the 19 would make it up to 20 but say it even ended up as 17 or 18 rounds, and the G17 was 20 rounds... both still significant improvement

The standard full width Glock magazine is already a true double stack. That's why I don't think thinner magazine walls would increase capacity.

You may be correct but I think they could squeeze in an extra round or two (maybe one more) if they made the walls thinner but I’m just guessing.
