Pretty much everyone in the music and movie industry needs to take this to heart. Just because you can act and make a metric shit ton of money doing it doesn't mean anyone cares what you think. Vote how you want, but keep it to yourself. Most of us also think because you're so insulated from real life that your views are utterly worthless in the real world, where we live.

Many of the stadiums and ballparks are either taxpayer funded or given huge write-offs. And can Joe Average afford to go see a game? Hell, no!!

They pay thugs to perform. If these assholes weren't in sports, they'd be common street thugs.

Boycotts work - ask Target, Kelloggs and Starbucks. They may still be in business, but their market share and the level of positive perception are down. These are market indicators that large investors look at. Every dollar or investor they lose is another step to bankruptcy.

I was a huge baseball fan. From about 1974 to 1985 I played softball 3 or 4 nights a week and tournaments on weekends. Then I got married and my (now ex) wife demanded I cut back, baseball was my life for many, many years......and then 1994 world series DIDN'T HAPPEN! the player strike happened. In Sept 1994 I stopped all baseball activities. I have never looked back. It was sad and painful for me to cut my ties with baseball, but striking the world series was the last straw. To me, that is unforgivable.

And the NFL, I only follow that because my wife is a HUGE Bill's fan (and Im PATRIOTS FAN--my parents use to live outside of Boston) But in general I don't really follow any major league sports. MANY, people find it very weird that my wife knows more about football than me, YES ! a girl knows a LOT about football. ALL ASPECTS, from the draft to the Superbowl. Me, I simply don't care.

and I have met Jim Kelly several times ( I have a pretty funny story about that ) and I have talked to him at length......about hunting and fishing. LOL

When Bruce Springsteen cancelled shows in a southern state because of a decision they made on school restrooms, I refused to listen to him ever again....and have turned the station ever since.
