attorney and amateur martial artist, brings this action against Defendant Madeline Singas, in her capacity as the Nassau County District Attorney, seeking a declaration that New York State’s 1974 ban on the possession of chuka sticks,

also known as nunchaku, is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment. Based on its review and consideration of the evidence introduced at trial and the parties’ post-trial submissions, the Court makes the following findings of fact and conclusions of law pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 52.

On the other forum I posted a you tube where at a California city council member said about a law they just passed ...
It was an illegal law but it would take years for it to get through the courts if ever heard at all..and he was fine with that... They would have 10-15 years with the law on the books...

Folks say all the time even on here ... That law will not be upheld when SCOTUS reviews .... In the mean time we live with that law for 15-20 years ... NOW think all these gun laws the liberals will pass next year ..

LOL. I'm not so sure. I remember a cousin of mine was visiting from out of state and he brought his pair of nunchucks with him. This was 40 years ago. My older brother, who had seen a couple of Bruce Lee movies immediately tried them out and proceeded to whack himself in the face. We got a good laugh out of that. These things are more dangerous to the owner than to anyone else.....

Recently NY has tried to change the law on switch blades making them legal, a bill has even made it to cuomos desk twice.. he vetoed it both times

(04/23/13 docket entry.)Following the completion of discovery, both parties movedfor summary judgment. (Dkts. 139, 140.) On May 22, 2015,the Court dismissed two of Plaintiff’sthree constitutional claims, leaving only the instant Second Amendment challenge to proceed totrial.

This is an experience common to about 99.999% of teenage males who tried using them. I think I was in that category as well.

Almost anything can be used as a field expedient weapon.

Sometimes when I'm bored sitting around and waiting for something/someone, I'll look around at what is available. It's amazing what comes to mind - for example - a roll of TP soaked in water and put in a trash can liner and wielded like a roll of quarters in a sock.
