Hi,
I applied for a premise permit back in January. For the question that asked if I’ve ever been convinced, I checked no, because when I called over the phone they told me to check no for the two minor violations (see below).
I’ve been doing some research and I saw one post about someone getting denied due to stating no (but he also had other encounters with the police) and everyone else is just stating that they checked yes and reported their traffic ticket history.
My DMV abstract is showing two cell phone tickets. 2011 was the first violation (convicted in 2014) and second violation was 2015 (convicted in 2018). Nothing else is showing up on my abstract but I remember sometime in 2010 receiving an equipment violation which I immediately plead guilty and paid, and in 2011 an improper turn ticket that was thrown out by the DMV court in Manhattan.
Should I have reported these violations? At this point since the application is already in the system and I got fingerprinted (no interview yet), what are my options to get this fixed up, if even necessary?
I’ve had no arrests or any other encounter with police my entire life other than the moving violations. My job history has also been stable.
Thanks in advance!
