NYGF Shooting event regions poll.

As the title suggests, which region do you live in or would like to see a forum event take place in? These are rough designations and we can change the regions should we want to, but this is to get a rough idea of where people who are interested in having a forum event are so that we can take the next steps in planning. Poll is not public, you have to vote to see results. Results DO NOT disclose screen names and you are not disclosing any addresses or other personal information. This is just showing what general area of the state people are in or would like to see an event take place.

My thought is , if one of the shoots is in a place I'd like to visit, I'd make a day and night out of the trip.. The Adirondacks is a no brainer for me..

Hard to say. I don't think my Corgi would do well at a range. I think the gun fire would freak him out. If there ever ends up being a non-range event meet up I may bring him along though.

Well, so far it looks as though the regions with the most votes are adjacent to one another or somewhat so anyway. Seems we may be able to either merge regions or have whoever ends up being the coordinators for adjacent regions decide if they want to meet in the middle or have their own event. This would mean multiple regional events instead of one big one. But looking at the numbers, you merge two regions with 5 people each that's 10 people and that is a decent and manageable number to start off with. We get three or four events going state wide and open up a sub-forum for after action reports it may bump the interest for the next round of events...

Everyone has both an FUAC vote AND a region vote. Got to think like a liberal and feel entitled to more than one vote.

I am thinking we have enough results at this point, to start asking for people who would be interested in being a regional coordinator for their region to come forward. Unless people feel we should adjust the regions? I am willing to have a go at being the region G coordinator. Bump! I want to keep this discussion going.

Looking for volunteers to be coordinators for the their region.

Even as more votes come in, it's not too early to get things rolling. At this point I think there is enough data to decide if we want to try one large range event or if we want to split it up between regions and do it that way. We can also have adjacent regions combine and have an event between them.
We need to discuss what type of event it will be. If it will be uniform across the regions or up to the regions to decide...yada yada details details details Etc.
This is why we need coordinators. Step right up!
