I’m not going to far into this because the thread will be a shitshow, but we’re being demolished here for NOT enforcing the social distancing (like 10 summonses were written so far in the whole city). I guarantee this arrest was “earned”...

While I do agree these dumbasses to need to stay away from people I don’t think this infringes on your right to assembly. Just assemble 6 feet apart. Just like I don’t think shitting down church services infringes on your right to worship. You can still protest and worship just not how you are used to it.
Arresting and finning people for it is a bit extreme but if people don’t listen I do t know what else to do. However it is a bit ironic they are opening the doors to jails and letting prisoners out to protect them yet these people were arrested for being too close together. Makes little sense to me. Fine then I get it 2.75% of people with it are dying. I know I know it’s actually lower because many have it and haven’t been tested and recorded.

As with anything there are those that take it too far and feed off their power. Anything to assert dominance over another. If these guys will do that to a man with his own family that will be in the car together and at home together, what else will they do?

I can agree with that. But the city is not doing anything to discourage that. The subway system is running on Saturday schedule and we have women on the train with strollers going to god knows where.

What the city should do is close the subways and buses to only essential workers like they did during the hurricanes . One train every half hour during peak times and one train every hour during off peak times.

They want everyone to quarantine but they give them all the tools to break quarantine. Makes no sense.

Shutting down government provided services like subways and parks can be reasonable under some circumstances.

But shutting down private gatherings like churches is completely unacceptable.

If you want to assemble, you can do so virtually or under the guidelines established via the CDC. Distance and PPE required.

Anyone that wants to go against the grind gets a bullet to the head.

Kidding about that but that would be the only thing that works. In all realness, there are laws in regards to endangerment that could be used against one that puts other lives at risk to prevent that.

One of many issues with this, who is essential and who is not?

This is a really big issue in all of this.

I was talking to another member the other day on the phone and he was telling me what is considered essential down in that shitty city of NY' I will say, I was quite shocked at some of the essential jobs and needed workforce!

In Buffalo, parking is free nearly everywhere on public roads, ALL meter "maids" are still working. Not sure why though.

Mind you Will, I am all for this plan. I think the way the Government has handled all of this wrong. I think the lockdowns and quarantines should have been much, much stronger and more strict!

Where in the constitution does it says that you have the right to free travel to a contagion zone?

Where in the constitution does it say that if a temporary requirement to wear PPE at a church with social distancing in place it is a violation of assembly and freedom of religion? You can still assembled and you can still practice your religion.
