Those are not moose, they are bufforillas. Moose are much prettier, relatively.

I've seen moose tracks on the Moose River Plains in the ADK, Unfortunately I didn't see the moose.

Plenty of mooses moosen mooseses those things around here in the Adirondacks. Lots of tracks and sign once you know what to look for. They’re mean, lazy, and huge. (The tracks are not mean or lazy.) I’m hoping to spot some from the air flying around this year, before the leaves come out, and this Fall. Hasn’t happened yet, though.

Two yrs ago my UPS guy showed me a pic he just took of a moose a couple of miles away from me. It was sited a couple of times in the area over a couple of days and then it was gone. Probly came over the border from Mass.

and is also a border jumper from Canada with no papers or a Id ..

looking for handouts and special privileges in NYS ..

They are a invasive species to NYS and need to be dealt with ..

I saw what could only be moose tracks in Putnam county a couple of winters back. There was out 2" snow on the ground at the time and I push a bunch of deer while hiking. The hunter in me starting calculating the number of deer, age and size. Then I came across a huge track nearly the size of my hand a stride gap much greater that any deer I have tracked.

They can swim well too. I watched one about 12 years ago swim across Champlain from VT to NY At our camp in Crown Point. It was a large cow, it just got to shore and walked away towards the woods.

It's too warm here in NY for the moose population to grow into numbers that would support hunting. It would have already happened if it was possible.

It amazes me that hooved animals like that can swim. They have no webbing and I would think it would be really hard to propel yourself in the water with no webbing and scrawny legs like that but yes they all seem to swim remarkably well.

Nah, we had them as far away as Bklyn for as long as I can remember.
