NYSRPA Looking For Plaintiffs Again

I got the following email from our buddy @Carl Gottstein on behalf of Tom King.

In typical NYSRPA fashion, the "share" link in the email didn't work.

I sent my contact info and said I'm willing to be a plaintiff. Wish me luck.

I suck at the government teet as well, but I'm really getting tired of getting fucked over at every turn. I'm willing to risk discomfort to try and get improvement.

To say I don't have a lot of confidence in NYSRPA however is an understatement.

If I get to talk to Carl in person it will all be worth it.

It will come down to who the plaintiffs are. A retired peace officer ( not a police officer) who can not enter his former place of work with a firearm would be a “ good “ plaintiff.
Any NYC permit holder who is not a retired police officer might qualify considering that the NYC requires one to break the CCIA to purchase a gun.

Anyone not a felon in NYS should be a good plaintiff in all reality. We’re all impacted and screwed by this.

I seriously applaud you for putting your money where your mouth is and trying to be a plantiff.

What are the pros,/cons for being a plantiff in the suit? I qualify as #3; unrestricted and wanting to carry in places empress hochul would frown upon.

Just a guess on my part, but the pros for me are proactively trying to do something instead of just sitting on my hands waiting for someone else to do it.

Cons are likely having to disclose lots of personal information to lawyer's just to be picked to be a plaintiff, and probably public scrutiny and harassment.

Still no call back from Carl though.

Oh, and to use the subway system too. Honorably discharged US Navy vet, with no criminal record either.
